Problem
When I try to paste using the middel mouse button of my Lenovo ThinkPad KU-1255 keyboard, it sometimes pastes and sometimes it doesn't, whereas my mouse middle click always pastes. How can I get constant paste behaviour for my keyboard middle mouse button click?
Environment
- Lenovo ThinkPad keyboard KU-1255
- Kubuntu 14.04
- KDELibs-4.13.3
Workaround 1. Short-press
Short-press does paste. Long-press doesn't paste. This is intended behaviour, so - while keeping the middle mouse button pressed - the trackpoint can also be used for vertical scrolling, and no paste has to be done after releasing the middel mouse button.
Workaround 2. Remove long-press detection
# Find the device id. Example output: # Virtual core pointer id=2 [master pointer (3)] # ? Lenovo ThinkPad Compact USB Keyboard with TrackPoint id=10 [slave pointer (2)] xinput --list # Disable wheel emulation xinput set-prop 10 "Evdev Wheel Emulation" 0
