Onyx Boox: Dictionary stops recognizing words after standby
Contents
Problem
After the Onyx Boox is put in and out of standby mode while reading a book, and the dictionary was activated, the dictionary doesn't recognize words anymore.
Steps to reproduce the problem
1. Download the popular WordNet dictionary (English-English) and install it in the `dicts' directory on the Onyx Boox, using the command:
tar -xvjf stardict-comn_dictd04_wn-2.4.2.tar.bz2
2. Create a file on the Onyx Boox named `book.txt' containing two words: "sun moon".
3. Open `book.txt' and open the dictionary via { Menu | Tools | Dictionary Lookup }.
4. Select the dictionary via { Dictionaries | WordNet (r) 1.7 }
5. Select the word "sun". The dictionary translates all right.
6. Press the power button once to put the Onyx Boox in standby mode.
7. Press the OK button to wake the Onyx Boox out of standby mode.
8. Select the word "moon".
Now I expect Onyx Boox to translate the word "moon". But instead, Onyx Boox does not recognize the word "moon".
Environment
- Firmware Version: 1.4 20100625
- Locale: English
Workaround
Close the dictionary and the book and reopen the book and the dictionary again to make the dictionary recognize words again.
